Recitation of Takbeer Tashreeq

Sheikh ul Islam Mufti Taqi Usmani The recitation of the Takbeer is normally recited on the days of Tashreeq for 23 Salaah, between the 9th and 13th of Zul Hajj. This is Wajib and practiced by males and females. Mufti Taqi Usmani Saheb has mentioned that when taking a closer look at the Hadith Shareef, it is understood that apart from the specified days of Tashreeq, which is Wajib, this practice is desirable from the beginning of the month of Zul Hajj. The Takbeer should be recited in abundance whilst a person is conducting his normal activities and routine of the day. It is established that the Sahaba would practice on this. Abdullah bin Umar RA, the son of Umar RA use to recite the Takbeer aloud in the Bazaar where all would hear him. This practice of the Sahaba should be revived and hopefully we shall also reap it’s blessings and benefits.
